Abandoned puppy gets scooped up by new family

A puppy that was tossed out of a truck window has found a new home.

Mio, a 10-week-old Labrador mix, was adopted Wednesday from the Arizona Humane Society. She had been brought in for care after a passerby found the puppy in a bag that had been deliberately dropped out of a vehicle near Queen Creek.

Ashleigh Adams is Mio's new owner. The puppy has recovered from head trauma and lung contusions.
