A landmark sign that was stolen from outside of a historic Phoenix home has been found, police said.
Sometime between the afternoon of Sept. 16 and the morning of Sept. 17, someone stole a sign that stood in front of “El Oeste Lodge,” one of the oldest homes in the Camelback Mountain area.
The home, located at 4649 N. 56th St., was built in 1924 and played host to many celebrities over the years.
The tin sign is 20 in. x 24 in. and reads “EL OESTE LODGE” in red lettering.
“It designated what was at that location,” said Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes.
The sign was returned to the homeowner.
