PHOENIX -- There's a new item on McDonald's menus Monday morning.

The popular fast-food chain is posting the calorie content of its menu items. Company spokesman Jerry Gehrke said he's not worried about losing business once customers see that a McMuffin meal is about 500 calories.

"I think customers are truly conscious about their calories," he said. "They may decide that 'Today, I can have that Big Mac as long as maybe I have that grilled chicken sandwich, which is only 400 calories, for my dinner. Maybe I'll have a salad to offset that.' So no, I'm not concerned about that."

By next year, it won't be just McDonald's restaurants that will post this revised menu. A new law will require all fast-food restaurants to post calorie information.

Not everyone drinks diet coke for the lack of calories. I for one drink it because regular coke is WAY too sweet.
