A 22-year-old man went missing while tubing on the Salt River on Sunday, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said in a press release.

Joshua Williams was last seen between Sheep Bridge and Mud Cliffs when he floated away from his friends.

Williams is described as being a black male, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black jean shorts and black tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on Williams' whereabouts is asked to contact MCSO.

    and they should close this down...I see nothing but sad eyes when I look at his picture. Very sad. Hope he is okayll

    The River is Dangerous - and so is the desert.
    Don't go wandering off without taking precautions. But nobody should talk of closing the river to responsible use. I hope he is found in good shape.
