PHOENIX -- A North Canyon High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave after sexually explicit pictures of her were posted on a Facebook profile.

KNXV-TV reported that the teacher told the Paradise Valley Unified School District that the photos were of her but that she did not post the pictures.

The 20 photos were posted on a Facebook page under the teacher's name. But the teacher insists the page, which was created earlier this month, is a fake.

District spokesman Marty Macurak said the teacher has been placed on leave until the facts are cleared up.

Phoenix police also are investigating the case and could pursue charges of harassment or identity theft against the person who posted the pictures and created the account.

    Agreed
The Onion ran a funny article, it said "All future political candidates for 2040 can no longer run because of their photos on facebook" something like that. Seriously, I'm 27, I don't have a FB, and I never will. In the future all political candidates will probably have something embarrassing in the past that will be EASY to uncover. We think politicians fight dirty now, just wait! Pics of Governors doing beer bongs in their 20's, Female senators making out with girls.... it's gonna be wild, I can't wait!

    On another note
I feel sorry for this teacher. We have to realize that teachers aren't saints or nuns, they should be allowed to take naked pics of themselves and I seriously doubt she posted them on her Facebook herself. That sucks, whoever did that should be charged with some sort of sex crime.

Don't need to like Facebook or use it.
Anyone can createa Facebook account in your name. Facebook won't validate. Happens all the time. The photographs are maybe from someone she thought she could trust. Maybe she knew that the photographs were being taken or maybe she didn't. Maybe the person she thought she could trust created the account. Who knows, other than you. It appears that female teachers especially should remain spinsters all their working lives, just in case.

Are you people decrying facebook the same people who say "guns don't kill, people do?" I'm fascinated and curious with your argument. Please, go on...

Just curious...I am curious on your post. The comment is one of those thinkers where I am trying to figure out what it is you are trying to say. Guns don't do anything on their own. It actually take a person to pull the trigger. The mind on the other end is where the initial problem starts. So like this current issue, Facebook isn't the problem, it is the mind that uses it and how it is used. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the students pulled the pics off her phone, and then set up facebook.
