TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson police say an officer has been involved in a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.

Police say 34-year-old Steven Duane Rodgers was wearing dark clothing and wasn't in a marked crosswalk when he crossed Speedway about 2 a.m. Monday.

They say Rodgers was hit by a police vehicle driven by a 13-year veteran officer responding to a call of a fight involving a weapon.

Police say the cruiser had its police lights and siren on at the time of the accident.

The department is conducting a criminal and administrative investigation of the crash.

    Not his fault ...
OK, not in an official crosswalk, wearing dark clothing ... and not giving way to an Emergency Vehicle enroute to a call with lights and siren on. A no brainer I think, the Officer couldn't have done much at that point ...
