PHOENIX -- A state commission on Monday interviews nine applicants for an Arizona Supreme Court opening.

The Commission on Appellate Court Appointments will recommend at least three people for Gov. Jan Brewer to consider for the appointment.

The vacancy was created when Justice Andrew Hurwitz resigned after being appointed to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The applicants include six Court of Appeals judges.
