SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A Texas fugitive has been arrested in a Phoenix suburb after first eluding police following a car crash.

Scottsdale police day 30-year-old Cody D. Lang was taken into custody Friday.

Authorities say Lang is wanted on several outstanding theft and fraud warrants in Montgomery County, Texas.

He was spotted at a motel near Scottsdale on Thursday, but evaded police in an RV. The vehicle was later involved in an accident, but police say Lang climbed out of the wreck and fled the scene before officers arrived.

Lang was arrested about 10:45 a.m. Friday at a Scottsdale intersection. Police say he was a passenger in a car and wearing a wig in an attempt to conceal his identity.

Police say Lang is being treated for an arm injury before being extradited.
