An onion recall has been expanded to include Arizona.
Onions are being pulled from shelves in a dozen states.
A Southern California grower, Gills, warned that their diced, slivered and whole-peeled onions may contain listeria.
The recall applies to onions with use-by dates of on or before August 3.
Listeria can cause serious or fatal infections in children the elderly or people with compromised immune systems.
According to Fox News, the recall also affects California, Colorado, Illinois, Montana, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington.
