Blood supply levels in Arizona are critically short as
national levels reach a 15-year low.
Blood donations normally taper off summer months, but this
year, the situation at the Red Cross is critical and Grand
Canyon Chapter spokesperson Debra Deininger said every
donations makes a difference.
“if every blood drive brought in just two more donors on top
of what they had promised, we would have enough blood to
adequately supply the hospitals,” she said.
The Red Cross is asking people to spread out their donations
in upcoming weeks.
They need all types of blood.
