The California Senate has passed a bill that its supporters call the "anti-Arizona" bill and at least one Arizona lawmaker said it's "anti-America."

The bill will prevents illegal immigrants from being asked about their immigration status by law enforcement, unless they have been convicted of a felony or violent crime. It could be on Gov. Jerry Brown's desk within weeks.

"Hopefully all of the illegal immigrants in Arizona will go to California and they can pay the price," said Arizona Republican lawmaker John Kavanagh said. "It's a bigger problem for America and as long as California is in America they should obey the law."

California Democratic Assemblyman Tom Ammiano said the bill signals to the nation that California cannot afford to be another Arizona.

"California can't afford to be California anymore," said Kavanagh.

"The only ones who are hurting this country are [President Obama and California] and any other state that turns its back on enforcing our reasonable immigration laws."

Recently the Supreme Court upheld the most controversial aspect of Arizona's immigration law Senate Bill 1070 -- the requirement that police officers check the immigration status of people they stop.

    California
doesn't learn from its own mistakes. They have welcomed illegal aliens with open arms and look at the issues they have now.

    So then . . .
. . . surely the bill includes a similar antidiscrimination measure, in which citizens stopped for anything but a felony or violent crime will no longer have to produce a valid license, right?

    These
california politicians will never get it will they? That state also known as mexifornia is broke because of the sanctuary cities - most all of them- that have allowed illegals to not only be invited but have changed local laws to appease and not inconvenience the illegals.

    How come
..some locals have been up in arms because states need the right to their own version of immigration laws, but get all upset when California does it too? Oddly enough, there are people out there that dont agree with some Arizonan's ideas, and are taking a different approach. I believe that this ability to disagree is what our country was built on. I think the Tea Party should be jumping on the bandwagon to support California's rights!

    Stop the illegal alien invaders
Remember the TEA PARTY is the only savior that will halt illegal immigration for good. We must replace every politician, Governor, Police Chief or other elected official who supports the illegal alien invasion, whether they are a Democrat, Liberal or even a Republican with a TEA PARTY leader. Join your local Constitutional Tea Party and remove Obama and endeavor to demand that Mitt Romney people enact mandatory E-Verify and Amend the Birthright Citizenship law.
