TONTO VILLAGE, Ariz. - Early Friday morning, a man who was sleeping in his cabin woke to find a bear was biting him.

Jim Paxon with Arizona Game and Fish said the man was not badly hurt and this could be the same bear that attacked a woman in the Payson area about three weeks ago.

"We've got two bear traps being put into the area," he said. "A woman was attacked May 31 about a mile-and-a-half away from this attack. It is possibly the same bear. That's what we're investigating."

The latest bear attack victim has a single bite to his calf.

The cabin, which is under construction, has no door or windows.
