As more people attempt to figure out the timing of President Barack Obama’s timing in regards to a change in immigration policy, one political pundit gave her reason: avoidance.
“This is a president who will do absolutely anything and everything not to talk about the economy,” said Meghan McCain on News/Talk 92.3 KTAR’s Mac & Gaydos Show.
McCain said that, though immigration is a complex issue, Obama is just trying to mask his shortcomings ahead of the election.
“He has had three-and-a-half years to make a bipartisan plan work, including with my father, who met with him specifically about immigration, and he just choose to do this now when his numbers are tanking? I think, like everything else with President Obama, it’s based specifically off of political motivation.”
McCain said its very hard to criticize the new policy change because it can come off as racist and no politician wants to risk that in an election year.
