PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a carjacker who was shot by a victim’s
husband and then crashed the stolen vehicle has died.
Sgt. Tommy Thompson said a woman arrived home around 3:30 p.m. Friday when the
29-year-old suspect pulled her out of her SUV.
Thompson said the couple living next door approached the suspect.
He said the suspect drove away, knocking the female neighbor to the ground,
causing a non-life-threatening head injury.
Police said her husband then fired several shots with his handgun.
