PHOENIX — No one was injured when a speeding car crashed into a house in central Phoenix early Friday.
The car slammed into the home near 13th Street and Campbell Avenue around midnight, taking down a fence and causing the roof of an addition to collapse.
Police took one person into custody. Two others in the car ran away.
Homeowner Sabrina Duff said it’s the second time a vehicle has plowed into her home. She’s ready to move.
Her 11-year-old niece would have been in that room but she had an emergency tonsillectomy earlier this week.
“Her head is usually toward the end of the room where the car hit. She was supposed to stay here this week,” Duff said.
