FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — City officials in Flagstaff have approved a ban on
texting while driving or riding a bicycle.
The Arizona Daily Sun reported the Flagstaff City
Council unanimously voted to enact the ban Tuesday night.
The ordinance, however, does not go as far as a county-wide ban.

The Flagstaff ban is limited to texting or typing for emails or any instance
messaging program while a vehicle is in motion. But motorists and cyclists can
text or email if they are at a red light or pulled over on the side of the road.
