The snowbirds have it right, according to a recent website that ranks Phoenix as a great place to retire.
According to Gangs Away, Phoenix is one of the top 25 best places to retire.
Every Phoenician’s favorite saying, “you can’t shovel sunshine,” is one of the reasons it ranks so high. The weather — well, for eight months out of the year — musumes and Mexican food are all factors in why Phoenix is considered so livable.
The cost of living is average, with a median home value of $201,000.
The average winter temperature is 56 degrees and the average summer temperature is 91.
Retired people looking to trade their snowshoes in for hiking boots are bound to end up here.
