PHOENIX — In an effort to get pet adoptions rolling, the Arizona Humane Society has teamed up with Macerich to create a mobile shelter for their first-ever summer mall tour.
The mobile shelter, or Waggin’ Wheels, is a 25-foot, 24-kennel pet adoption unit. The air-conditioned, adoption center on wheels is expected to adopt out an additional 600 pets per year.
The summer tour will begin Saturday at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. More than 20 pets will be available for adoption and items from the AHS’s Petique will be for sale.
