Arizona homeless aid programs earn $4 million in federal grants

PHOENIX — Nearly two dozen Arizona programs that help the homeless have been awarded almost $4 million in federal grants, it was announced Thursday.
U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan said 19 programs in the state earned a second round of funding. Across the country, close to 900 programs split roughly $141 million.
In Arizona, Another Chance recovery program in Phoenix was awarded the state’s highest individual amount at $1.2 million.
