• The exodus from California to the Valley continues. Website creator Weebly moves into Old Town Scottsdale next week, opening up its North American customer operations headquarters. The San Francisco-based company estimated it will hire 150 people by next summer, with at least another 100 more in the next three years. Weebly signed a five-year lease on the space in Galleria Corporate Center.
• Another San Francisco treat for the Valley: A popular Bay Area sandwich chain known as Ike’s Place will open up a concept shop in downtown Tempe in September. Ike’s Love and Sandwiches will move into the Brickyard building on Mill Avenue. Loyal followers love the restaurant’s special “dirty sauce” and fresh baked-to-order bread.
• Another pizza chain is opening in downtown Tempe. Spinelli’s, out of Kentucky, will set up business on Mill Avenue. The pizzeria planned to have its grand opening in August. It will be Spinelli’s first shop outside of Kentucky. The pizzeria brands itself as the “rock stars of pizza making” in its home state.
