PHOENIX — Bonded Logic, a Valley company that turns recycled blue jeans into home insulation products, will be the site for one of the largest private solar energy projects in state history.
Sean Desmond with Bonded Logic said ground will be broken Tuesday at 10 a.m. on the Talons Solar Field, a 65,000-square-foot system that will use 1,300 solar panels.
“As far as I know, in the state of Arizona, we’ll be the only facility that’s making a green and sustainable product that is partially powered by solar energy,” Desmond said. “It will help power our plant by providing 26 percent of our annual consumption. That’s enough to power 57 homes for a year.”
The massive solar panel project should be wrapped up by mid-summer.
