PHOENIX — Believe it or not, Arizona State University may be the state’s best kept secret when it comes to applying to college.
Using data showing highest academics rankings, acceptance rates and in-state population, Business Insider compiled a list of the 51 most underrated colleges in the country, and ASU made the cut.
The list is based on the “safety school” strategy, whereby a student applies to at least one school with a high acceptance rate.
The colleges on the list challenge the myth that a college is better if it’s more difficult to get into, by all having high academic scores and strong programs.
According to the list, ASU has an acceptance rate of 89 percent and over 50,400 undergraduates.
