100 Arizona students to compete in National Geographic Bee

PHOENIX — One hundred students from across Arizona will show their geography chops next month.
The 26th annual National Geographic Bee will hold its state-level competition on Friday, April 4, in the Ventana Ballroom at the Arizona State Memorial Union in Tempe. The preliminary round starts at 9 a.m., and the final round will begin at 12 p.m.
The winner will then head to Washington, D.C., to compete in the national competition May 19-21. Journalist Soledad O’Brien will moderate and the grand prize is a $50,000 college scholarship.
