The Sheriff’s Department said backup facilities are no longer being used and that the system is fully functional.
The 23-minute outage Monday afternoon affected 54 callers from unincorporated
The department’s dispatch center moved last weekend to a new 911-dispatch
center in Tucson.
The new $102 million Pima County Wireless Integrated Network is an emergency
radio dispatch system that will allow first responders from local
agencies to talk to one another on radios.
