PHOENIX — A jack-knifed big rig created a mess for commuters on a freeway in the West Valley on Thursday morning.
The rig lost control on eastbound Interstate 10 near 75th Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The accident blocked the HOV and left lane, then more lanes, and stalled traffic all the way to 107th Avenue, about four miles. That affected traffic on the Loop 101.
The accident happened about 5:45 a.m. and finally cleared up about 9 a.m.
There were no other details immediately available.
