We can now bear witness to the large sinkhole that swallowed eight classic Corvettes.
Security cameras captured various angles of the sinkhole that started to disrupt the earth at 5:38 a.m. Wednesday. The National Corvette Museum has posted the footage on its YouTube Channel, NPR reported.
The sinkhole is approximately 40 feet across and nearly 30 feet deep. Some of the cars fared better than others.
“We feel pretty confident that most of the cars can be extracted,” Strode said Thursday. “And we hope and believe that with just a little bit of luck, that all eight cars can be extracted and be part of the restoration.”
One of the casualties of the sinkhole was the 1-millionth Corvette.
