Call of the child: Jackson, Sophia lead baby names for 2013

PHOENIX — What are parents naming their kids these days? Pretty much what they were naming them last year — Jackson and Sophia top the baby names for 2013.
The pregnancy and parenting website babycenter.com said Jackson claimed No. 1 for the first time (it was No. 22 last year) while Sophia’s reign of the girls’ list reached a fourth year.
Aiden fell to No. 2 on the boys’ list after eight years on top.
Emily made its debut in the girls’ top 10, jumping two spots to ninth. Emma held down the No. 2 spot for the third straight year, while Madison made an exit from the top 10.
