PHOENIX — Authorities said a suspect is in custody in connection with a
nearly 20-year-old cold-case murder.
Phoenix police said 37-year-old Randall Larson was arrested Wednesday in the
death of Victor Moreno, who was found dead on April 25, 1997.
Larson is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder of
Moreno, 20, who left behind a pregnant girlfriend. The woman gave birth to a girl soon afterward.
The homicide cold case squad reviewed the case last year. Police said they were able to forensically link Larson as a suspect.
