PHOENIX — Phoenix police said a woman suffered a minor injury when she was
pistol-whipped during a home invasion early Wednesday morning.
A 53-year-old mother was home near 21st Street and McDowell Road, with her 22-year-old daughter and 15-year-old nephew, when the suspects broke in at around 4:20 a.m.
The family was held at gunpoint while the suspects demanded money and drugs. They left with some cash, a computer and shoes.
According to police, one of the intruders tried to shoot the family dog with a pellet-type but the gun jammed.
