Sick children got a break from reality as they helped celebrate Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s 30th birthday.
“These people are so nice and gentle with me,” said nine-year-old Hannah. She was joining in the festivities today.
Harkins Theaters helped put the grand movie-themed party together, supplying a movie, popcorn, cake and prizes. Dan Harkins, the owner of the company, decided it would be a great idea since his company turns 80 this month as well.
According to information provided by PCH, they opened on September 18, 1983 as the state’s only non-profit hospital dedicated to caring for children. Today, PCH is considered a leader in medical care for children.
