Bomb threat shuts down Chandler Walmart

PHOENIX — A Walmart store in Chandler was evacuated Friday morning after someone called in a bomb threat.
Police Sgt. Joseph Favazzo said the store, near Arizona Avenue and Pecos Road, and parking lot were being swept by a bomb squad.
Favazzo said his office received a call shortly before 10 a.m. from a man who said he was upset about a shoplifting accusation and was on his way to the store with a bomb.
No other details were immediately available.
