Sen. John McCain lunches with Arizona Diamondbacks’ Paul Goldschmidt, Josh Collmenter

PHOENIX — Two Arizona Diamondbacks players had lunch with a prominent Arizona politician on Thursday.
D-backs first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and pitcher Josh Collmenter had lunch with Sen. John McCain.

Though it’s unknown what the trio discussed, it’s likely the D-backs’ current pennant chase was a focal point. McCain has been a long-time outspoken fan of all of Arizona’s professional sports teams.
