Glendale named second-best dog city in Southwest US

PHOENIX – The city of Glendale is getting special recognition for being friendly towards man’s best friend.
“Dog Fancy” magazine named Glendale “the regional runner-up for the Southwest of DogTown USA,” according to a video posted on the city’s YouTube page.
Glendale was honored inside the magazine for their three dog parks, businesses that cater to dogs (and their owners) and the “Dog Days of Summer” event that is held annually in the city.
With more than 43,000 “dog residents,” the city of Glendale also employs dogs that work for the Glendale Police Department and the Glendale Fire Department.
