Arizona bombing suspect asks for new trial date on gun charges

PHOENIX — Lawyers for a man accused of bombing a federal building are asking a judge to postpone a
trial in federal court on firearms charges.

Abdullatif Ali Aldosary’s trial is set to begin Aug. 6, but his lawyers asked
that it be moved to Sept. 3 to give them more time to prepare.

The Iraq native has pleaded not guilty in federal court to three counts of being a felon in
possession of a gun and ammunition.

In Pinal County, Aldosary faces state charges in the Nov. 30 bombing outside a
Social Security Administration building in Casa Grande, about 50 miles south of
Phoenix.

He also is charged in Pinal County with first-degree murder in the Nov. 27
death of a man who worked at a grain business in the community of Maricopa.
