Passengers on an Allegiant flight spent an uncomfortable couple of hours stranded on the Mesa Gateway Airport tarmac Wednesday afternoon.
The plane was bound for Oakland, Calif. The air conditioning was working minimally during the delay, according to a spokeswoman for the airline, because the engines were not engaged.
Temperatures were over 100 degrees on the day.
The plane eventually made its way to Oakland, landing around 6 p.m.
