Phoenix water-safety experts to host community event

PHOENIX — Water-safety advocates will be gathering at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort Saturday to host a free community event.
The annual social activity includes drowning-prevention awareness information, an appearance by the Phoenix Suns Gorilla, rescue and CPR demonstrations and prizes.
The Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona and Phoenix Fire Department are co-hosting.
The presentation begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. at River Ranch at the resort, at North 16th Street near Northern Avenue in Phoenix.
