Colorado Springs campaigns to get flights back

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Officials at the Colorado Springs Airport are
launching a campaign to attract more air traffic after the number of flights
tumbled to a 22-year low.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reported city officials
are looking at other airports close to large regional hubs, like Tucson.

The departure of Frontier Airlines next month will cut passenger traffic at the
airport by 16 percent, according to a report released Wednesday. Many passengers
are turning to Denver International Airport, where they have more
choices.
