I-17 near Flagstaff closes due to winter weather

PHOENIX — According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, winter weather has shut down the I-17 northbound at milepost 332, about seven miles south of Flagstaff.

The National Weather Service reported that Flagstaff received over a foot of snow on Friday.

Heavy snow has fallen on the road and forced some drivers to pull over on the highway while plows cleaned up the area.

ADOT will continue to clear the highways throughout the weekend.
