Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano cautioned travelers to make it to airports extra early Monday.
According to Yahoo News, U.S. spending cuts made Friday have already negatively effected airport security lines due to the cut of employee overtime.
“It should have taken maybe 15 or 20 minutes,” said Dave Wagner. “But there was only one agent for 12 lines.”
Additional effects are expected in the coming weeks as furloughs take effect, which will go out March 7.
