PHOENIX — Travel blogger Brian Kelly of thepointsguy.com flies abut 200,000 miles each year. He’s not worried about his miles or anyone else’s on US Airways.
“In the next year or so it will be business as usual,” he said of the merger between US Airways and American Airlines.
“The American Advantage Program is much more lucrative than the US Airways program. American as a whole is much more focused on premium service than US Airways,” he said.
Kelly is not of the doomsday belief that the merger will push airfares through the ceiling.
“… There’s no conclusive evidence that we’re in for an imminent fare hike,” he said.
