Arizona authorities nab man deported 5 times since ’05

FLORENCE, Ariz. — A man deported five times since 2005 has been arrested
in Arizona on a probation violation and charged with assaulting a Pinal County
Sheriff’s deputy.

Sheriff’s officials said 37-year-old Jorge Luis Morales-Espinoza is being held
on suspicion of hindering prosecution, resisting arrest and aggravated assault
on a law enforcement officer.

Officials said Morales-Espinoza was a passenger in a car stopped last Friday
night in Coolidge.

A sheriff’s deputy checked for warrants and found Morales-Espinoza was wanted
by the U.S. Marshals Service for probation violation.

Authorities said Morales-Espinoza resisted arrest and fought with deputies in an
attempt to get away.

They said Morales-Espinoza was last deported in December 2012.

They said he has numerous arrests and convictions in Arizona, including extreme
DUI and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
