Movies in a Minute: ‘Under the Skin’

An alien by the name of Laura has taken on the form of an attractive female who drives around Scotland picking up men. She lures them with the promise of sex, and instead puts them into a preserving liquid to harvest their flesh.

If you’re a Scarlett Johansson fan, you probably won’t want to miss this film! I don’t really want to give too much away but, oh boy, is this movie confusing! I only started to figure it out about half way through it, and I think I was late. It’s a sort of interesting and weird sci-fi film that reminds me of “2001: A Space Odyssey.” It wasn’t scary necessarily but I found it mesmerizing and I liked it.
