Last week it was the Republicans Comedy Central's Jon Stewart poked fun at during the RNC. This week "The Daily Show" host is poking fun at the Dems for co-opting Republican talking points and values. If you have been watching, on the surface, both conventions have carried the same themes...except on a BIG issue or two:
Author Judy Blume has breast cancer. The 74-year-old is recovering at home after undergoing a mastectomy. We wish here well. I consumed a lot of her literature back in the day. Read more here.
Watch TV Online: Specifically, you can watch NBC's new TV series Revolution (from Lost's JJ Abrams and Supernatural's Eric Kripke) online. It was directed by Jon Favreau, the man behind the first two Iron Man movies.
Amanda Bynes legal troubles are getting worse. People Magazine is reporting the actress was charged with two counts of hit and run related two incidents that happened in April and August. She could get a year in jail if she's convicted of both misdemeanor counts.
Save your money, little monsters. Lady Gaga is brining her Born This Way Ball to the U.S. in 2013. Those ticket could make good stocking stuffers because she's going to be in Phoenix on Jan. 23 at US Airways Center.
There's another new Downton Abbey trailer. I mean I gotta watch something good because Game of Thrones is on hiatus and, let's face it, True Blood jumped the shark:
Liam Neeson has a special message for you. That message is to watch his newest "Taken 2" trailer that's exclusively on YouTube and if you don't he'll find you...which doesn't sound half bad. Unless, of course, you kidnapped his daughter.
From the folks that brought us "The Matrix" trilogy, comes the ambitious adaptation of "Cloud Atlas." It's a film "telling six stories, spanning many centuries" and loosely connected. This big screen film stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and whole lot of other actors in the mix. Expect it to be a mind trip. Watch it here.
