Not all musicians wants to be politicians
Aren't we going a little too far when we expect all musicians to make political statements when they create music?

He did what few other musicians do. He continues to explore and celebrate other cultures through music, which is, after all, his specialty.
Learning about these other musicians and the countries they come from is a gift. He isn't a politician, so let's not expect him to be one.
Not everyone wants to be Bono.
